Movie Spotlight

I cherish this film for numerous reasons. A truly great film invokes great emotion and this film has accomplished that for me. From the moment I first watched the trailer over two years ago I knew I had to see it. I was alone in my excitement. Any person that I showed the trailer was dumbfounded at why I was so anxious to see this film. I couldnt believe it but thats just another way that I am different from those around me. The cinematography alone was enough to have me drawn in and I found the story to be an adventure I wanted to be a part of. I eventually convinced my ex to watch it with me. He was miserable throughout. I was like a kid in a candy store. I absolutely loved it. Maybe thats why are no longer together. We were two different people. This film also shows me that. It amazes me how something can bring forth that kind of response. Lee Pace is so great in it. You can feel is pain and desperation to end his life over heartache. I always identify with the jilted and heartbroken lover in movies I guess. The movie is quite long but if you are a fan of great storytelling and beautiful cinematography then I highly recommend you see it for yourself and let me know your thoughts.

I heard this song through another blog. That's what I love most about blogs. I love reading them and finding out new stuff or being introduced to different and exciting worlds that I may never see otherwise. Its wonderful.

The Beautiful Men of Lost

In order of beauty of course. Haha. Just kidding but wow, these men are beautiful. I know men are not supposed to be beautiful but I really think that some men do qualify. Ian Somerhalder is one of those men. That face is absolute perfection and those eyse. Hold on a sec, let me wipe the drool off of my chin.

Yet as beautiful as Ian is,Josh Holloway is handsome. Gorgeous and rugged. I love his character Sawyer. He is my favorite character so far.

I think Speed may be the first movie that I watched Dennis Hopper in and he was absolutely creepy. Helluva actor though. I love him in True Romance. The greatest actors all have this dark side to them and he sure had it.

Fate?

I am very excited about today. I have to share it.  But where do I begin?
Well start with the bad part and get to the good part. The bad leads to the good.
On Memorial Day, after a long and very fun day of swimming, I was headed home and my car overheated, causing a crack in the radiator. Boooooooo. Ive been without a car since. Not fun.
Well let me backtrack a little bit. In junior high and freshman year I had a crush on a friend(in high school I had a least 20. I was a bit boy crazy but we can save that for another story). He disappeared and I never got to tell him. We have been friends through myspace but merely acquantances and lived our lives without any interaction with one another. Very recently he has tried to reconnect with me and now we are “talking”. He is very smart and totally different than I could have possibly imagined but all in a very good way. Im excited. We were supposed to go on a date on Memorial Day but my cars little boo boo made that impossible. “Mr Orange” (we will call him that for now) even offered to come over and fix my car for me. He went to school to be a mechanic. How convenient for me. How sweet of him to offer. He didn’t come over but he is tonight and he is going to find out what is wrong with the car and then take me out to dinner. He is aware that I am a vegetarian and unlike Mr Boss(from previous posts) is not trying to convince me to eat meat. Needless to say, Mr Boss and I no longer speak. So Mr Orange is taking me to a vegetarian diner.  Im so excited about that above getting my car fixed. I hope we have a great time and it leads to something more.

Elizabeth Taylor might be my favorite old school legendary Hollywood movie star. Not only is she absolutely beautiful but she is a great actress with a big heart. I absolutely adore her.









I thought of her today more so because she is published love letters from Richard Burton in Vanity Fair’s next issue. The cover is to die for. Elizabeth Taylor was and still is my ideal of beauty.
